This section presents the interim results of the Southlands Public Design Charrette. The process was one where several early plans were quickly developed for public scrutiny immediate following the Opening Presentation of Tuesday the 6th of May. At the Mid-Term Review on Saturday the 10th of May, the options were narrowed down to four plans:
1. Canal
2. Sweep
3. Tuck
4. Village ( or 'Linear')
The results of the feedback at the Mid-Term Review and a meeting of the Southlands Community Planning Team on Sunday the 11th of May determined that the 'Sweep' and 'Tuck' plans were worthy of further work by the charrette design team. So began that next stage of readying these two contenders. At the Final Presentation on Tuesday the 13th of May these final contenders were presented by Andres Duany and assessed for their adherence to the Design Brief and further on-going public scrutiny. Thank you to all of the many hundreds of people who attended the many sessions at the charrette.
